FootballMarcus Rashford Offered Route out Of Manchester United by Arch Rivals
- Arsenal are prepared to make a summer move for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford
- The Gunners are in the market for fresh attacking power after the exit of Aubameyang who joined Barcelona in January
- Rashford has only made 9 Premier League starts, and could be lured out of Old Trafford if United fail to qualify for the Champions League
Marcus Rashford is reportedly set to be offered an escape route from his Manchester United nightmare at the end of the season.
Rashford has been out of sorts for Manchester United this season, having only started 9 Premier League games so far this campaign.
Furthermore, the 24-year old has only managed five goals in all competitions this season, which is a far cry from his impressive 21 goals in the last campaign.
The fact that Rashford has seemingly fallen down the pecking order at his boyhood club under Ralf Rangnick has led to speculation that the Englishman could switch clubs in order to reignite his career.
And now, reports from The Mirror indicate Arsenal could be ready to take up Rashford’s services.
Arsenal will be in desperate need of a striker once the season comes to a close, especially after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Barcelona and their other forwards Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are yet to be offered new deals.
Currently, Rashford only has one-year plus an option for a further season on his current deal but with his spectacular dip in form this season, a move away from his boyhood club could be on the cards.
Further reports suggest that Arsenal could be motivated to lure Rashford away from Manchester United if they manage to qualify for the Champions League.
At the moment, the Gunners’ fate is in their own hands as they sit fourth on the log, three points clear of their closest rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
For Manchester United, they are further back in sixth place, four points behind Arsenal having played a game more.
