Senegal are leaving no stone unturned after rounding up training at the Cairo International stadium on Thursday ahead of the game against Egypt.

The African champions will face the Pharaohs in Cairo for the first leg of the World Cup play-off on Friday night.

Having spent two days in Moroccan city Marrakech, the Teranga Lions arrived in Egypt on Thursday morning before training later in the day.

In photos posted on Twitter, the team led by Aliou Cisse were going through intensive exercises as they stay in shape for the big game.

Egypt are hoping to put the disappointment of losing AFCON behind them as they seek to make a return to the World Cup by avenging the defeat against Senegal.

Meanwhile, the newly crowned African champions are chasing a third appearance at the World Cup.

Senegal arrive in Cairo ahead of Egypt clash

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Senegal will play their first game since being crowned African champions when they square up against Egypt in the World Cup play-off on Friday.

The Teranga Lions arrived in Cairo on Thursday night after two days of preparations in Marrakech, Morocco.

In photos posted on Twitter, the team led by Sadio Mané is seen leaving the Cairo International Airport.

Senegal star Ismailla Sarr pops up on the radar of Liverpool and AC Milan

AFCON winner Ismaïla Sarr is a subject of interest for European heavyweights AC Milan and Liverpool ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Watford attacking midfielder is seen as replacement for Frank Kessie who will be leaving AC Milan in the summer while Klopp sees the Senegalese as part of his future plans.

According to Calciomercato, Klopp has urged management of Liverpool to make a move for the winger.
