Felix Afena-Gyan says he is ready for for his first Black Stars game after he was included in the team to face Nigeria in the World Cup play-off.
The AS Roma youngster is expected to lead the attack in the absence of Jordan Ayew when the Black Stars host Nigeria in the first leg on Friday.
Afena-Gyan took to Twitter to state his readiness despite the magnitude of the game between the two West African rivals.
He posted on Twitter: "Ready, Ghana."
The 19-year-old is having a breakthrough campaign in the Italian serie A under Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho.
Afena-Gyan hogged the headlines after his heroic performance against Genoa in November last year, when he came off the bench to score twice and win the game for AS Roma.
Felix Afena-Gyan leaves Italy to join Ghana camp
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghanaian teen Felix Afena-Gyan is on his way to join the Black Stars team for the World Cup play-off against Nigeria.
The 19-year-old is joining the Black Stars team for the first time after missing the Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year.
In a photo posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the striker and his agent Oliver Arthur were on board a flight to Accra.
