  • Naby Keita has reportedly sustained a knee injury and he is set to undergo scans to examine the extent of the injury

Naby Keita has withdrawn from the Guinea squad ahead of two friendly matches, the African country's FA has confirmed.

It's claimed that the Liverpool midfielder is ruled out with a knee concern. It's not clear how serious it is.

Keita started the Nottingham Forest game on Sunday but was subbed off after 60 minutes. He did not show any obvious issue with his fitness, though.

Previously, Trent Alexander-Arnold was also ruled out of the England squad with a hamstring injury, while Andrew Robertson is a doubt for Scotland after testing positive for Covid.

Reds Close Gap on Manchester City with Nervy Win Over Hammer

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Liverpool closed the gap to Manchester City to three points thanks to a hard-fought victory over West Ham on Saturday, March 5.

Sadio Mane scored the only goal of the game to ensure his team remains well in the hunt for a second Premier League title in three years.

Despite being the better side, it was not a straightforward win for Liverpool by any stretch, as they were made to work by West ham, who had some decent chances to grab goals.

Former Liverpool Defender Sends Strong Warning to Mohamed Salah

A former Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has disclosed that forward Mohamed Salah would be making a 'massive mistake' if he leaves the Premier League club this summer.

Salah has been linked with Spanish club Barcelona and his future remains uncertain as his contract with the Reds expires in 2023.

It was gathered that Liverpool are desperate to keep him at the club, but the Egyptian is yet to agree to a deal with them due to his wage demands.
