Black Stars duo Alexander Djiku and Majeed Waris are on their way from France to join the Black Stars camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying clash against Nigeria.
The first leg between the two rivals will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Four days till the first leg in Ghana, France-based player Djiku is traveling together with his Strasbourg teammate to Ghana as they are expected to be named in the squad to face the Super Eagles.
Waris is making a return to the national team following an injury to Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo and Jordan Ayew's absence for the first leg due to COVID-19.
The pacy striker who was handed a late invite last played for the Black Stars during 2014 World Cup.

In a post shared on Djiku's Instagram story, the two Strasbourg players were seen onboard an airplane en route to Ghana.
The photo has created the impression that Waris has also been called up to feature for the Black Stars.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace center-back, Alexander Djiku is heading to Ghana for the World Cup play-off against Nigeria.
The Black Stars defender confirmed his invite after posting on social media his next move after Strasbourg game against Lorient.
