Black Stars players Jojo Wollacott and Andy Yiadom have landed in Ghana on Monday morning to begin preparation for the crucial encounter against Nigeria, Sportsworldghana reports.
The first leg between the two rivals will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on Friday, March 25, 2022.
Four days till the first leg in Ghana, England-based players Wollacott and Yadiam have arrived safely and are expected to be named in the squad this morning by head coach Otto Addo.
Wollacott and Yiadom were part of the Ghana squad that was humiliated at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
The Black Stars are expected to begin training in Accra on Monday as the technical team expect full house by close of today.
Coach Otto Addo and his charges will train at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday afternoon before the trip to Kumasi on Tuesday.
Arsenal Star Arrives for Ghana Versus Nigeria Showdown in World Cup Play Off
Sports Brief earlier reported that Thomas Partey has arrived in Accra ahead of Ghana's blockbuster encounter against the Super Eagles in the World Cup play-off on Friday.
The 28-year-old landed in the country just 24 hours after starring in Arsenal's victory against Aston Vila on Saturday.
In a photo posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, the Arsenal man was in the company of top Ghanaian politician Gabby Otchere-Darko, who he gifted his jersey.
