Former Manchester United captain Patrice Evra has agreed to take on American YouTuber Adam Saleh in a boxing ring.
The fight will take place at the O2 Arena in London, and will reportedly feature several huge celebrities undercard.
The 40-year-old took to his official Twitter account to announce the bout scheduled for 30th April.
Evra captioned the tweet:
"April 30th. I’m ready. I LOVE THIS GAME."
Evra who is now now retired from football will start his boxing career against Saleh who has fought three times before, winning two of them.
This is a celebrity boxing fight not sanctioned by the professional bodies.
The former Manchester United defender revealed why he signed up for the fight in an Instagram live.
“I’m really excited to participate for the first time ever in my life in a boxing match.
What I am the most excited about is the training technique, because the way they train is completely different to how football players train. It is a massive opportunity for me,” Evra revealed.
The United man has been popular in media circles for his role as a football pundit. However, fans will now flock to see if he has what it takes to win a boxing fight against someone who has boxed before.
