Davido Replies After Top European Football Club Officially Uses the Nigerian Music Star’s ‘E Choke’ Slang

• Borussia Dortmund owners could be fans of Nigerian music sensation, Davido, following their latest tweet which has gone viral
• The club, via its official handle, tweeted the famous slang ‘E choke’ which is synonymous with the ‘Fall on you’ crooner
• Nigerian stars Victor Ikpeba and Sunday Oliseh also had stints with the Bundesliga outfit and they were also celebrated

Music rave of the moment Davido has reacted after the official Twitter account of German club Borussia Dortmund used the ‘E Choke’ slang.

Hours before their away game at FC Cologne, Dortmund tweeted photos of their players celebrating goals and then tagged the Nigerian music star in tweets.

The club further added “Dortmund fall on you” to scare their opponents in an 'OBO' way as one of his music titles - ‘fall on you’ says.

Super Eagles legends Victor Ikpeba and Sunday Oliseh also had stints with the Bundesliga outfit as their photos in Dortmund colours were also shared.

Davido replied: “Clear road.”

Nigerian outlet Premium Times reports that ‘E Choke’ is a very popular and currently trending street slang that was started by famous Nigerian singer, David “Davido” Adeleke.

The platform wrote:

“E Choke” literarily means “It Chokes”, however, in the street language, it is an exclamatory remark for something overwhelming or extremely impressive.

“When Nigerians see something or someone that goes beyond expectation, this slang is a way of saying that they were so surprised that they choked on air or on their saliva, though it may be a bit exaggerated.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been placed on alert on the availability of Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, as it appears Real Madrid have backed out of signing the striker.

Haaland has been on the radar of almost all top club sides in Europe due to his remarkable scoring form for Dortmund with many expecting the Norwegian to move to a bigger club next summer.
