The coach of the Super Eagles Augustine Eguavoen has stated that Nigerians never want to settle for less and would want to win every trophy available.
Eguavoen made this statement as Super Eagles prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Ghana later this month.
Nigeria are billed to take on the Black Stars right in their backyard on March 25 and then the reverse fixture is scheduled to hold at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on March 29.
The winner on aggregates will then proceed to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar later this year, but Eguavoen knows the importance of qualifying for the football fiesta.
He told Elegbete TV as per The Punch:
“It’s very tough. Very tough because we are humans and are very demanding. And we are a football nation, which is normal.
“We don’t want to settle for less. We always want to go for the best and by so doing, we want to win every trophy available.
“To be saddled with that responsibility I think is a very tough one. There’ll be critics everywhere, left, right and centre definitely, but the ability to be able to hold on and shed most things away and remain focused determines a lot.”

Meanwhile, Eguavoen has disclosed that he wants to achieve a balanced team and that was why Chidera Ejuke was not invited for the World Cup play-offs against Ghana.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria go head-to-head with the Black Stars of Ghana for a World Cup spot, as both sides begin final preparation.
