English-born Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo has been declared fit for the Sky Bet Championship clash with West Brom.
The 22-year-old picked a knock and he was forced off in the closing stages in his side's 2-0 away defeat to Barnsley on Tuesday.
After being assessed for some time, the medical team declared him fully ready to return to the first team and he looked pleased to return and help the club.
Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson confirmed to Robins TV that Semenyo's injury was not serious and he will be available for the visit of the Baggies.
“Antoine is fine, he just had cramp so he'll be available this weekend." said Pearson.
This will be a big relief for Ghana as Ghana as Semenyo is expected to be named in the Black Stars squad ahead of the epic encounter against West African neighbours Nigeria.
Semenyo's imperious form since December has seen him involved in the most goals in the English Championship in that period, proceeding to win the Player of the month award in January.
He has scored six goals in 24 games for City and added eight assists, with the 22-year-old flourishing since being moved into a central striker’s role by Nigel Pearson.
Born in London to a Ghanaian mother and Togolese father, Semenyo is also eligible to play for England.
Ghana will take on Nigeria in a two-legged play-off on March 25 and 29, with the winners earning qualification to Qatar 2022.
