Thomas Tuchel has revealed he is devasted following the struggles facing Chelsea after the recent sanctions on the Blues by UEFA.

The German manager was on the touchline as the Blues cruised into the Quarterfinals of the Champions League after a 4-1 aggregate win over French side Lille.

According to a report via the Mirror, UEFA has banned Chelsea from selling tickets for the Champions League quarterfinal at Stamford Bridge.

This follows sanctions on the Blues following the clampdown on Russian Billionaire, Roman Abramovich by the UK government and UEFA.

The London club has also been prevented from selling matchday tickets in all domestic competitions, including the Premier League.

Thomas Tuchel breaks Zinedine Zidane record

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel guided Chelsea into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals on Wednesday, March 16, after the Blues came from a goal down to defeat Lille 2-1.

According to Football London, Tuchel has recorded more wins than any other manager in his first 50 Champions League matches, with 32 victories overcoming Zinedine Zidane on 31.

Chelsea has joined the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Bayern Munich in the last eight of the European biggest football competition with the quarterfinal draws slated for Friday, March 18.

Chelsea breeze past Lille to reach UEFA Champions League quarterfinal

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Chelsea are through to the quarterfinals of the Champions League in emphatic fashion.

The Blues took a step closer to defending their crown as they beat Lille 2-1 in France and 4-1 on aggregate to seal a quarterfinal spot.

With a stadium full of passionate and proud supporters behind them, Lille took the fight to Chelsea from the get-go.
