“We met with Artem at the end of the Zenit pre-season training camp, but, of course, there were no promises for a mandatory call.
"This applies not only to Dzyuba, but to all players. On Sunday, we talked with Artem by phone, he assured us that, as he said at the meeting, he really wants to play for the national team, but now, due to the difficult situation in Ukraine, where he has many relatives, he apologised and asked us, due to family reasons, not to call him up to this training camp.''

Abramovich banned from owning Chelsea by Premier League as stunning update emerges

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Premier League chiefs have banned Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich from being the director of Stamford Bridge giants Chelsea days after being sanctioned by the government.

Roman Abramovich is currently not having it rosy with the United Kingdom government who have frozen all his assets in England due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The decision by the government to sanctioned Roman Abramovich however made it impossible for the Russian to have absolute control over day-to-day running of the Blues.

Roman Abramovich will no longer be permitted to have anything to do with Chelsea.
