Spanish outfit Barcelona are said to be considering a move for Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku this summer as they are yet to decide on Erling Haaland.

Daily Star reports that Lukaku, who has since flopped since he returned to Stamford Bridge, is being considered as an alternative by manager Xavi.

The La Liga side have continued their resurgence under Xavi and they are now desperate in signing a big name centre forward.

There are concerns over the future of players like Ousmane Dembele, Memphis Depay, Martin Braithwaite and Luuk de Jong, with president Joan Laporta aiming to overhaul the squad.

Quite a number of clubs in Europe are interested in signing Erling Haaland whose release clause is capped at £63million (€75m).

Spanish outlet AS reports that Barcelona have conceded the move for Haaland to Manchester City so they are already looking at other options.

That is where Lukaku comes into the equation, as Barca’ fourth choice, or ‘last resort’ option.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund are considering making a move for Timo Werner in stunning new reports.

According to Sky Germany, Dortmund would have no problem taking up the services of Werner, who has failed to establish himself in England.

The German striker is in his second spell at Chelsea but is not only struggling for goals, but game time as well.

Chelsea receive £2.7bn offer from Saudi Media Group

Meanwhile, English Premier League giants Chelsea have received an outrageous £2.7bn ($3.5bn) offer from Saudi Media Group, according to stunning reports.

The Saudi Media Group has made the offer in a desperate move to take over from owner Roman Abramovich.

Mohamed Alkhereiji is said to be a staunch fan of the Stamford Bridge outfit as he leads a consortium with no direct links to the government.

Alkhereiji was in attendance for Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Manchester United last year. He has previously lived in the UK, where he attended the Cass Business School in London.
