Egypt-based attacker Ramadan Sobhi will miss the Pharaoh's crucial 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Senegal due to an injury.

The Pyramid FC forward suffered bruises on his right knee during Sunday's CAF Confederations Cup clash against Tunisia's CS Sfaxien.

According to Kingfut, Sohbi cannot be available for selection during the upcoming international break.

Tests run by Sohbi's Egyptian club in Cairo revealed that revealed that he has a blood clot in the bones around his right knee.

Sobhi will immediately start a two-week recovery program in order to return to full health under the supervision of the Pyramids medical staff. Meaning he will miss both games against Senegal.

The Pharaohs are set to face the Teranga Lions in the third and final round of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The first leg is set to be played in the Cairo International Satdium on March 25th, with second leg taking place four days later, on the 29th, in Dakar.

Sports Brief earlier reported that legendary Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has advised Liverpool to break the bank for Egyptian captain Mohammed Salah.
