Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich faces more trouble as the European Union is in the process of seizing all assets owned by the Russian.

This comes in response to Russia's military invasion of Ukraine which has been condemned by world authorities.

According to a report via The Sun, EU diplomats are expected to meet on Monday, March 14 to place Abramovich on a new sanctions list.

Abramovich is facing heavy sanctions as it is believed the Chelsea owner has great ties with Russian President, Vladimir Putin.

The 55-year-old recently had his assets frozen by the UK government which prevented the Russian billionaire from selling Chelsea football club despite putting the Blues up for sale.

Meanwhile, Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich is moving fast to secure his assets following the threat from the European Union to freeze his assets.

The Mirror reports, Abramovich has now moved his private jet and relocated his yacht as the Russian awaits being sanctioned by the EU.

The Premier League revealed they had suspended the 55-year-old billionaire as a director at Chelsea football club as the Blues now operate under a special license in the UK.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported British tycoon Nick Candy has made a promise to Chelsea fans as he seeks to beat competitors in the race to buy the club.

The west London outfit was recently put on sale by current owner Roman Abramovich, with the Russian oligarch looking to sell the club after almost 20 years at the helm.

A number of wealthy businessmen are understood to be facing a race against time to take over the ownership of the club.
