Odion Ighalo showed once again he can be relied upon after the striker bagged an 89th minute to help Al-Hilal to a 1-0 victory against Al Raed.
The 32-year-old secured his second assist since joining Al-Hilal in January after setting up Mali striker, Moussa Marega to seal the crucial win in the Saudi Arabia Pro League.
According to Complete Sports, Al Hilal have now recorded their sixth consecutive win since losing 4-0 to Egypt’s Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup in February.
Ighalo has recorded 4 goals in five appearances for Al-Hilal in the Saudi-Arabian Pro League since joining from Al-Shabab in January.
Al-Hilal remains second on the Pro League table with 46 points and is 11 points behind leaders Al Ittihad but has played two games less.
Ighalo's form good news for Super Eagles
Odion Ighalo was recently listed amongst Nigeria's 32-man roster for the World Cup play-offs against Ghana in March.
According to Goal, the 32-year-old striker recently replied to his critics who questioned his invite back to the Super Eagles after he was recalled by coach, Augustine Eguavoen.
Ighalo missed the opportunity to represent Nigeria at the AFCON after his former club, Al-Shabab refused to release the 32-year-old for the tournament.
