Senegal and Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has revealed that Karim Benzema stands out against Kylian Mbappe and Robert Lewandowski among the best strikers he faced.
The UEFA Champions League winning goalkeeper made the submission during a feature with Onze Mondial, revealing that Benzema gets better as he ages.
Mendy conceded against the Frenchman as Chelsea beat Real Madrid last year as they breezed to UEFA Champions League success last season.
“The strongest striker I’ve faced? I think it’s Benzema. Currently, along with Lewandowski and Mbappé, he is one of the best strikers in the world. He’s been holding Real Madrid for many years now. It seems that the older he gets, the better he gets. Honestly, I think he’s the best striker I’ve faced," he said during the interview.
Edouard Mendy has been in phenomenal form for both club and country, helping Senegal to a historic Africa Cup of Nations success last month and was also key as Chelsea won the Club World Cup.
