Gianluigi Donnarumma has taken to social media to speak about Paris Saint-Germain's UEFA Champions League elimination at the hands of Real Madrid.

Real Madrid overturned a 2-0 deficit and progressed to the quarter-finals 3-2 on aggregate with Benzema scoring a hattrick.

According to Spanish news outlet, Marca, Donnarumma described the loss as a hard blow to take but has urged his PSG teammates to focus on winning the Ligue one.

"The elimination from the Champions League was a hard blow. The last two days have not been easy, but we come out stronger from these moments of difficulty.
"Now we have to think about the present, about winning Ligue 1, giving everything as I have always done for this shirt, for this club, and for our fans. Let's start again together! Allez Paris."

Paris Saint-Germain were considered heavy favorites for this season's Champions League title after an impressive summer that included the signing of Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos.

Meanwhile, Gianluigi Donnarumma is getting all the love from fellow goalkeepers after his costly error cost PSG a place in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals.

According to The Paradise, Dino Zoff and Gianluigi Buffon had exonerated the 23-year-old goalkeeper of any fault rather they questioned the team move that put the Donnarumma under pressure.
