Chelsea fans were in defiant ahead of the Premier League clash against Norwich last night.
The Blues beat Norwich City at Carrow Road, thanks to goals from Trevoh Chalobah, Mason Mount and Kai Havertz. However, it was the team's supporters who were the centre of attention.
Just as the match was about to kick off, the away end erupted in an unmissable chant of "ROMAN ABRAMOVICH". The club is currently in turmoil as a result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which has seen the Russian president Vladimir Putin face censure the world over.
Known associates of his like Abramovich have since been sanctioned politically and economically on the global stage by various entities as a means of isolating Putin.
The moment was a source of heated discussion on social media.

"Will all other Russians in UK assets be frozen or it's all about Roman and Chelsea?......Man said he'll literally donate the money from the sale to support those affected by the war in Ukraine. What more do they want? Cause it's already taking shape like it's an agenda now"

"For the @danlevene’s information, the chants for Mr Abramovich at Norwich were not in support of Putin’s actions, but rather for the Chelsea owner who has, in my opinion and the opinion of many others, been unjustly treated by a biased media and a swathe of hypocritical MPs."
