Following his performance in the Europa League against Roma, Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has promised to do everything to convince Edinson Cavani to stay for one more season.
The Red Devils took a huge step towards reaching the finals of this season's Europa League after securing a 6-2 encouraging win in the first leg of their semi-final tie against the Italians.
Cavani produced a sensational show in the encounter scoring two goals and making three assists to give his side a better chance at reaching the final.
And Solskjaer is now hoping the Uruguayan commits his future to the club so he can experience the "different feeling" of scoring in front of a full Old Trafford.
The former PSG striker has now taken his tally to 12 goals this season even though he is yet to play in front of a full crowd at United's 75,000-seater home due to coronavirus restrictions. Solskjaer said via Mirror:
"He was out for seven months without playing football for a long, long time before he came to us.
"This year has been very difficult but I’ve promised him Old Trafford and Manchester is a different place without fans in the stadium, he must try to get that feeling onside.
"Manchester is a fantastic place to live, I’m doing my best. Let’s see. Nights like this, hopefully we can get to the final and hopefully he can see himself being here for another year."
Meanwhile, Nicolas Pepe gave Arsenal genuine hopes of making the Europa League final after his penalty have the Gunners a crucial away goal against Villareal on Thursday, April 29.
Arsenal looked done and dusted after going 2-0 down to their former boss Unai Emery’s side and things took a turn for the worse when Dani Ceballos was sent off in the 57th minute.
Nicolas Pepe, who had a penalty decision overturned in the first half, had his say in the match as he scored from the penalty spot 17 minutes from time after Bukayo Saka was tripped in the box to make it 2-1.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has provided stunning clues he could be joining Premier League rivals Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
It looks like the goalkeeper might have agreed to a deal to join the Citizens after he posed with his sky blue Hummer.
It was gathered that the 34-year-old could also be showing off the new ride which has the colours of his home country.
