Highly-rated central defender Osei Kuffour has come under a lot of backlash for his indecent tackle on Asante Kotoko's forward Franck Mbella Etouga.
Bechem United and Asante Kotoko cross swords in an outstanding league fixture owing to the latter's participation in last Friday's President's Cup.
With the Hunters boasting of an impregnable home record, Asante Kotoko held on to a goalless scoreline with goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim coming to the rescue on several occasions as the Porcupine Warriors pulled a draw at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park.
Despite the barren nature of the result, the game was pregnant with unsportsmanlike conduct, which has since taken over the airwaves.

RugbyMbella and Osei Kuffour went in chase of a loose ball, with the latter outpacing the centre forward to balloon the ball away to safety.
After making the timely clearance to rob the deadly Etouga from pouncing on the ball, Osei Kuffour lost his cool in a moment of 'madness.'
Kuffour, after clearing the ball to safety, decided to kick Etouga, who was already down after missing the ball.
The incident was missed by the centre referee and his assistants but the footage of Osei Kuffour's Pepe-like tackle has since gone viral.
Kuffour managed to last the entire duration of the game, escaping a red card.
But the young defender was made to apologise to Mbella after his rough tackle.
He also took to WhatsApp to personally render an unqualified apology to the leading marksman in the Ghanaian top-flight.
Kuffour wrote: "I am very remorseful of the incident that transpired during our home encounter against Kotoko at Bechem Park."

Boxing"I want to articulate my apology to the Cameroonian attacker, Mbella and Kumasi Asante Kotoko. I want to fill everyone in that the tackle wasn't a deliberate attempt to blight the career of the prolific striker. I am very sorry." He ended.
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that a video of Osei Kuffour's unnecessary tackle on leading top scorer of the Ghana Premier League Franck Mbella Etouga has gone viral.
The young man who has won plaudits for his immaculate display at the heart of defence for Bechem United is currently the subject of a possible ban.
Kuffour and Mbella dashed for a loose ball, with the former reaching the ball first to make a perfect clearance.
