Super Eagles centre-back Kenneth Omeruo was the hero for Leganes in their 2-1 triumph over Almeria at Estadio Municipal de Butarque on Wednesday, February 17.
The 27-year-old scored a crucial goal in the 95th minute to hand the home team maximum points and helped them rise to fourth on the table with 46 points after 25 rounds of games.
Fellow Nigerian Sadiq Umar gave the visitors the lead just after eight minutes of action through a stunning finish, a few days after winning the league player of the month of January.

The away team maintained their 1-0 lead all through the first half but just three minutes into the second, Borja Baston restored parity for the home team with Jonathan Cristian Silva claiming the assist - an interesting way to start the second half.
Both sides, however, looked for the winner almost all through the concluding half but nothing happened until the added minutes when the Nigerian defender won the game for the home team.
Omeruo who was on the pitch for the entire period justified his inclusion with his first goal in the Segunda Division.
He initially joined them on loan from Chelsea in 2018 but later signed a permanent deal with the Spanish club and they were unable to avoid relegation from the La Liga last campaign.
The 2013 AFCON title winner is also nearing a century of appearance for the Cucumber Growers' having already featured 71 times for them with a goal to his credit.
On the international stage, Omeruo is one of the key players in coach Gernot Rohr's team and he could be handed another call-up for next month's qualification games against Benin and Lesotho.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Ahmed Musa's return to the Premier League could finally happen in the summer as West Ham United are keen on signing the Nigerian forward on a free transfer.
The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to join the Hammers during the January window but David Moyes chose not to bring a new striker to the London Stadium last month.
Musa has been without a club since last year after parting ways with Saudi Arabian outfit Al Nassr on mutual consent.
