Augustine Eguavoen has made it clear that he wants former Chelsea star Victor Moses to return to the Super Eagles stressing that he has spoken with the 31-year-old over making a return.
Victor Moses who now plays for Spartak Moscow retired from the national team after the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia where he scored one goal for the Super Eagles.
Former Super Eagles gaffer Gernot Rohr also tried to convince Victor Moses for him to return to the Super Eagles, but the winger refused.
According to the reports on Soccernet and Daily Post, Augustine Eguavoen stated clearly that he loves Victor Moses' football claiming that his services are still needed in the national team

“Even Victor Moses. I will break the news. We want the best for the country. Victor Moses is someone I also adore and I’ve been looking for ways to get him into the team.
“We have spoken but he’s not part of this game but hopefully as time goes on because we want the best. Whether we like it or not, I think Victor Moses will bring some value. But right now he’s playing in that region (Russia), so that one is settled.”

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Augustine Eguavoen who is the handler of the Super Eagles of Nigeria explained that he recalled Ogenyi Onazi to the national team so as to pacify some people who recommended him.
Ogenyi Onazi has not played for the Super Eagles since the team crashed out at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia as the midfielder was overlooked for the 2019 AFCON.
