Eric Johana debuts for Waasland-Beveren
And after weeks of waiting, the 27-year-old was able to earn some minutes under his belt with the Belgian second-tier side on Sunday, March 6.
The versatile midfielder was introduced in the 87th minute of the clash against Virton, replacing Abdel Al Badaoui who was subbed off.
However, he was unlucky during the debut as he picked a yellow card just two minutes after coming off after fouling a Virton player.
Waasland-Beveren on course for promotion
Fortunately for Johana, his side were able to secure a 3-1 comfortable win during the Belgian First Division B encounter and are on course to secure promotion to the top flight.
A second-half brace from Daniel Maderner and Kevin Hoggas' 60th minute goal were enough to earn the home side a deserved victory.
The Beveren-based outfit currently sit third on the standings with 36 points, five points behind second-placed RWD Molenbeek Brussels.
