- Victor Osimhen has been hailed by former Italian manager Arrigo Sacchi who seems pleased with the Napoli striker
- Osimhen was in the heat of the Napoli vs AC Milan Serie A clash over the weekend, but his side lost the tie 1-0
- Sacchi spotted the technical abilities of the Nigerian, saying the youngster has lots of courage, but cannot solve everything
Former Italian national team manager Arrigo Sacchi has hailed the qualities of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen saying the youngster has enough technical qualities, Soccernet reports.
The Napoli forward tormented the AC Milan defence on Sunday but his side lost the tie 1-0 courtesy of a 49th-minute goal by Olivier Giroud.
Sachi stated that Politano and Insigne who both played on the flanks were far from average, citing Osimhen’s effort as the best during the encounter.
The former manager stated that Napoli are not used to winning titles and that they lack character for a Serie A side. Sacchi said via Sporting Life:
“The rather disappointing performances of the two external players, Insigne and Politano, influenced the development of Milan’s manoeuvre.
”And Zielinski also did little. It should be added, however, that Milan defended almost perfectly. An excellent screen for the midfielders, so that the defenders could face their opponents with greater tranquility.
“The solution of Napoli, in the end, has almost always been the passage, short or long, to Osimhen who has a lot of courage, is fast, technically very good, but cannot solve everything alone.
“Little thought about it, but history matters a lot. Napoli are not used to winning, therefore they do not have that culture of success that is necessary to reach the top.”
