Much focus was in the Premier League where the title race is pitted between Man City and Liverpool and the top four race featuring Man United, Arsenal, West Ham, and Tottenham.
While a number of fans were fixated on the Manchester derby, action elsewhere in the continent produced as much entertainment.

5. Tammy Abraham keeps top four hopes alive for Mourinho's Roma
Former Chelsea star, Tammy Abraham, has been in fine shape for Roma since joining them in the summer from Stamford Bridge.
The Englishman has already scored 20 goals for the Jose Mourinho-tutored side, with his 20th coming against Atalanta on Saturday, March 5.
His solitary goal was enough to keep Roma's Champions League hopes alive - with the side now sitting six points off a top four spot.
4. Nice stun Lionel Messi's PSG
In France, Nice produced one of the shocking results of the weekend as they downed giants, PSG, at Allianz Riviera.
Andy Delort came off the bench to score a brilliant winner two minutes from time to fire Nice to second place, 13 points behind Pochettino’s side.

Football3. Olivier Giroud sends AC Milan top of Serie A
In Serie A, AC Milan reclaimed the top spot with a 1-0 hard-fought win at Napoli on Sunday, March 6.
Olivier Giroud showed no sign of rust as he rose to the occasion to score Milan's decisive goal in the second half of the match.
The Naples would have gone top with victory but now find themselves in third behind Inter.
2. Real Madrid cement La Liga title chances
Elsewhere in the La Liga, Real Madrid demolished Sociedad 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu to cement their lead at the top.
Karim Benzema, who has been one of Real's integral squad members, was among the goalscorers during the clash.
Los Blancos now have an eight-point advantage over second-placed Sevilla.

Still in Spain - Barcelona fought back from a goal down to secure a 2-1 win at Elche.
