Ghana international Majeed Ashiumeru gave a good account of himself as Anderlecht secured a spot in the Belgian Cup finals with a 5-3 aggregate win over KAS Eupen on Thursday night.
Goals from Michael Murillo, Lisandro Magallan and Cristian Kouame rendered Smail Prevljak's strike a consolation as they eased past their guests to secure a berth in the finals.
The 24-year-old attacker lasted 85 minutes in the game as coach Vincent Kompany gave the WAFA prodigy rest in the twilight of the match.
How did Anderlecht defeat KAS Eupen
Going into the second leg with a 2-2 draw, the Purple and Whites were quick off the block when defender Murillo broke the game's deadlock after just four minutes.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana midfielder Abdul Majeed Ashimeru continued his fine form in Belgium after netting his third goal of the season as Anderlecht defeated KRC Genk on Sunday, February 20, 2022.
The Black Stars player gave Anderlecht the lead in the 36th minute as they cruised to a 2-0 win at home at the Constant Vanden Stock Stadium.
Ashimeru showed composure to finish brilliantly before celebrating in front of the home fans as Anderlecht made it three wins in a row.
