- Usuthu and Stellies played out a highly entertaining 2-2 draw, a game in which the Maroons took the lead twice
- However, the home side showed the sort of resilience that has seen them performing well at home and on the continent
Stellenbosch struck twice with goals from Ashley du Preez and new Venezuelan recruit Juan Ortiz. Matar Ceesay and Thembela Sikhakhane hit back for Amazulu.
The draw kept the Maroons in fifth place on the log, while Usuthu moved up to sixth place, two points behind the visitors.
