Ghana Forward Emmanuel Gyasi Signs New Contract With Italian Side Spezia Calcio

Ghanaian international Emmanuel Gyasi has signed a contract extension with Serie A side Spezia Calcio.

On Wednesday, 2nd March, 2022, Spezia announced that Gyasi has extended his contract that will keep him at the club until 2025.

In an interview with Spezia media team, Gyasi was delighted to pen a new deal with the club and vowed to help them escape relegation at the end of season.

"I am very happy to have signed this renewal. Now maximum concentration to achieve salvation. I thank the club for the trust placed in me and as always I will do everything to repay it on the field,” the forward said as quoted on the Twitter page of Spezia Calcio.

Although injuries have denied Gyasi the chance to play every week, he has still maintained the level of his play and is one of the top players at Spezia Calcio.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Emmanuel Gyasi handed Italian giants AC Milan a bitter start to 2022 after netting the match winner for Spezia in their Serie A encounter at the San Siro.

The Black Stars forward, who was snubbed for the Africa Cup of Nations, seems to hold a cool head as he continues to flourish with lowly Spezia with his fourth goal of the season handing them a 2-1 win at AC Milan.

In photos posted Twitter, Gyasi is seen celebrating with teammates as the battle for survival kicks of to a bright start in 2022.
