Marumo Gallants secured a big win over Baroka FC when they beat the relegation-threatened team in the DStv Premiership.
Gallants beat Baroka 3-0 thanks to two goals from Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo and Joseph Malongoane.
Baroka came into the game on the back of a defeat to Kaizer Chiefs but knowing that a win would have taken them out of the relegation zone.
Sadly they only had themselves to blame for the loss. Both teams went into the break goalless but Baroka had picked up two yellow cards during the half. Bennet Bobete picked up a yellow in the 33rd minute while Richard Mbulu picked up a yellow just before the halftime break.
Just after the break, Baroka gave away a penalty which Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo calmly put away. Things went from bad to worse for Baroka as Bobete picked up a second yellow card at the hour mark. With Baroka down to ten men, Gallants pressed their advantage and went two-nil up just five minutes after Bobete was sent off.
Gallants rounded off the scoring in the 91st minute as Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo bagged his second goal. Gallants find themselves in the 11th spot, only a win away from sixth place though.
Baroka still finds themselves at the bottom of the table and with games running out, pressure is on the team to produce a few good wins.
