Dutch-born Ghanaian defender, Jeremie Frimpong, could leave Bayer Leverkusen to join German giants Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.
The former Celtic right back has attracted interest for the German champions following his wonderful performance for his club in the Bundesliga this season.
Per a report on German outlet Sport1, Bayern Munich have shown interest in the 21-year-old, with Spanish powerhouse Barcelona also said to be interested.
Frimpong signed for Leverkusen in January 2021 from Scottish giants Celtic for a fee around £11.5million but the BayArena club will let him go if they receive an offer not less than £25m.
The young defender has registered two goals and laid on eight assists in 31 games this campaign, and is on the radar of the biggest club in Germany, Bayern Munich.
Who is Jeremie Frimpong?
Born in Amsterdam to Ghanaian parents, Frimpong and his family moved to England when he was seven years old. Frimpong is eligible to play for Ghana, Netherlands and England.
However, he has already featured for the Netherlands Under-19 and Under-20 teams.
The lateral defender is not only attracting interests from clubs, but also the Ghana national team with the Football Association in talks with the Dutch-born player.

Sports Brief earlier reported that the Ghana Football Association has taken the initiative to convince English-born striker Antoine Semenyo to represent Ghana at the international level.
The London-born forward, who plays for Bristol City has been in good form in the English championship, raising the eyebrows of the federation.
According to reports, the 22-year-old has agreed to play for the Black Stars of Ghana pending approval from the Federation of International Football (FIFA).
