French club Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly offered striker Kylian Mbappe a new blockbuster contract which will see him earn a staggering £83m signing-on bonus.
SPORTbible reports that the 23-year-old whose contract with the Ligue 1 side lapses at the end of the season has been offered a new two-year deal worth an incredible £800,000 per week after tax.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are desperate in signing the France international after he has scored 156 goals in 205 games for PSG since joining from Monaco in 2017.
According to French outlet Le Parisien, PSG will do everything to make the player the highest-paid player in the world in order to remain with the club.
The player’s representatives have not officially responded to the offer but PSG believe the new offer will convince the player to remain with the Parisians.
Meanwhile, PSG’s ultras unveiled a banner in the win over St-Etienne, urging Mbappe to remain at the club.
“De Bondy à Paris. Kylian, ton histoire s’écrit ici,” read the banner, translating as “From Bondy to Paris. Kylian, your story is written here,” according to Foot Sur 7.
Mbappe has said he is grateful for the support from PSG’s fans and thanked them for the banner. He said:
“It is good to have the affection of the fans. We also play for this kind of thing. There is always the part about the goals, the statistics."
