British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been attacked in a press conference for the United Kingdom’s lack of sanctions on Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic.
According to a report via the Mirror, Ukrainian journalist Daria Kaleniuk gave an emotional address to Johnson and she broke down in tears while she described the gravity of her nation’s situation.
Ukraine was invaded by the Russian military on Thursday, February 24 after Vladimir Putin declared war on the South Eastern nation.
There have been calls for the UK government to sanction Roman Abramovic with some calling for the billionaire’s assets in the country to be seized as they maintain the Chelsea owner has strong ties to the Russian President.
Tuchel says Chelsea ownership transition makes no difference
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel has revealed the recent transfer of stewardship by the club owner, Roman Abramovich, to the Trustees of Chelsea Foundation makes no difference to him.
According to Sky Sports, Labour MP Chris Bryant revealed that the Russian billionaire is terrified of being sanctioned and has started selling his UK homes.
Tuchel has however pleaded to the media to stop questioning him about Roman Abramovich and the war against Ukraine as he is not a politician.
