Tottenham boss Antonio Conte outlined his frustrations after his side were knocked out of the FA Cup by Middlesbrough on Tuesday, March 1.
Nineteen-year-old substitute Josh Coburn scored the only goal of the game in extra time to confirm another season that Tottenham will go without a trophy.
Despite selecting his strongest XI available, Tottenham were simply not good enough as they allowed Chris Wilder’s side to get into the game and eventually find a winner.
Following the defeat, Conte was visibly upset with the result, which summed up his team’s roller-coaster nature in recent weeks.
"For sure the result is not good and we have to be frustrated," he told the BBC.
"It was a pity because in these types of games you have to start and kill your opponent.

Having secured a famous 3-2 win over Manchester City, Tottenham went on to suffer a shock defeat to Burnley, before bouncing back to winning ways with a 4-0 thumping of Leeds United in Marcelo Bielsa’s last game in charge.
But the shock FA Cup exit at the hands of Middlesbrough once again outlined an underlying problem within Tottenham – consistency.
"The truth is that today we are talking about a defeat. The last game we won, two games ago we lost, three games ago we won, and I think that I can't hide the reality no,” Conte went on.
"The reality that we are having too many ups and downs. We have to try and work, and I think this is a problem now and maybe also in the past.

FootballHaving exited the FA Cup, Spurs now only have the Premier League to worry about.
Their next match is a tricky fixture on Monday, March 7, against Frank Lampard’s Everton in the Premier League.
