Highly-respected legislator, Frank Annoh-Dompreh has intimated he is ready to rally colleague parliamentarians who support Asante Kotoko to contribute towards the construction of the club's own stadium.
The Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors, Nana Yaw Amponsah earlier made a bold declaration of constructing a stadium within 18 months with the able support of the club's huge fanbase.
And it appears his vision has been well received by most of the club's faithful with former striker Kwame Poku already contributing his widow's mite less than 24 hours after the declaration.
Other staunch followers have made public their pledges with the yearn to have their own stadium being resurrected by the enterprising Nana Yaw.
Hon Annoh-Dompreh, who doubles as the chairperson for the Parliamentary Select Committee on Foreign Affairs, made this disclosure in an interview with Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
However, he was quick to point out that the management of the club should be transparent enough with the funds given them towards the intended purpose of its contribution.
"We the members of Parliament who support Asante Kotoko, are ready and will to contribute to support the club but I think Management should be transparent and use all contributions for the intended purpose"

Arguably Asante Kotoko has the largest fanbase in the country with quite a substantial number of lawmakers publicly declaring their love for the Reds.
Aside from Hon Annoh-Dompreh, former board chairman of the National Sports Authority Hon Kwadwo Baah Agyemang as well as Minister for Energy Mathew Opoku Agyemang.
Top of the pile includes the Majority leader in parliament Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu, sitting president of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo-Addo and former President John Agyekum Kuffour.

Less than 24 hours after Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah challenged the supporters of the Porcupine Warriors to help raise funds to construct the club's own stadium, former player Kwame Poku has heeded the call.
Kwame Poku, currently plying his trade in Algeria for USM Alger, made the donation of $300 towards the construction of the edifice, reports award-winning sports journalist Saddick Adams.
Asante Kotoko, who have been staging their home games at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, is bent on getting a stadium facility of their own.
