Basketball legend Michael Jordan has emerged as the richest athlete in the world according to a new ranking by Wealthy Gorilla.

According to the data received, the 59-year-old is the richest sportsman in the year 2020 ahead of WWE’s tycoon Vince McMahon and Argentine superstar Lionel Messi.

Jordan remains an icon of basketball following his legendary exploits in the NBA as he etched his names in the history books as regards achieved before retiring.
