Nigerian international Alex Iwobi has expressed delight as he seems to have improved his game under manager Frank Lampard at English Premier League club Everton, Brila FM reports.
Iwobi was in action in the Toffees’ 1-0 loss to Manchester City in the English top-flight, but he has improved since Lampard replaced ousted manager Rafa Benitez.
The former Arsenal attacking midfielder gave a good account of himself against the Citizens as he drew a warm reception from the club fans.
Iwobi told Everton TV:
“I’m happy with my performance and grateful for the reception I got from fans when I went off but we wanted the result our performance deserved.
“We can be pleased with how we played, though. Personally, the manager’s support gives me the belief that I can go out and express myself and enjoy the games.
“It really helps me to show what I’ve got. It works for me.”
