UEFA Europa Conference League: Olympique De Marseille and FC Basel Is Tie of the Round in Last 16

The draw for the last 16 round of the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League was done at the football governing body's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

The tournament is the modern version of the UEFA Intertoto Cup, a third-tier European competition that last took place in the 2007/08 football season.

Olympique Marseille, champions of 1993, were drawn to take on Switzerland's FC Basel in the prestigious tie of the round.

Leicester City, seeking its first-ever European title, will have to negotiate past French side Stade Rennais FC.

Vitesse Arnhem of the Netherlands got Italian heavyweights AS Roma, whose coach Jose Mourinho could become the first manager in history to win first (Champions League), second (Europa League), and third-tier competitions.

The other Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, also former European champions, and FC Copenhagen, from Denmark, are expected to entertain in a clash usually associated with the Champions League.

The Czech Republic's Slavia Prague and Austrian outfit LASK, both dark horses at this stage of the competition will make for interesting viewing.

FK Bodo/Glimt, from Norway, and the Netherlands' AZ Alkmaar will battle it out for a spot in the quarterfinals.

Serbian giants Partizan Belgrade and Feyenoord, the fourth team from the Netherlands remaining in the competition, will be the last sides to face off.
