Barcelona fans were keen to ‘thank’ Arsenal, albeit sarcastically, after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put up another masterful performance on Thursday, February 24.
Aubameyang, who arrived at Barcelona on a free transfer from Arsenal, scored the final goal of the night as Barcelona saw off Napoli 4-2 in the Europa League.
Thanks to the Gabon international’s heroics, Barcelona advanced to the last 16 of the competition, and are now considered heavy favourites to win it.
Following his latest performance in a Barcelona shirt, the Catalan fans could not help but taunt Arsenal for allowing such a talented player to walk away for free.
One fan said on social media: “Thank you @Arsenal for giving us Aubameyang for free.”
“Thank you arsenal, for that gift called Aubameyang.” Another added.

Things went south for the 32-year old at Arsenal after he was axed from the squad following a disciplinary issue.
