Junior Moraes sends message to Brazilian government

Shakhtar striker, Junior Moraes, is among those who spoke in the video, with the 34-year-old painting a grim picture of the current situation in Ukraine.

"The situation is one of despair. I ask you to disclose this video so that it reaches the [Brazilian] government," Moraes said.
"Borders are closed, banks [are shut], there is no fuel, there will be a shortage of food, there is no money. We are gathered waiting for a plan to leave Ukraine," he added.

Moraes had initially posted a similar message on Instagram, describing the situation as serious, urging his followers to pray for them.

Russia invades Ukraine

The situation between the two countries is understood to be tense after Russian president Vladimir Putin ordered his military forces to invade Ukraine on multiple fronts.

According to Daily Mail, missiles and bombs rained from the sky, with tanks moving across the border.

The invasion is understood to have left at least 40 Ukrainian soldiers dead, with several others wounded.

Lukaku ready to quit Chelsea

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Romelu Lukaku is reportedly ready to quit Chelsea and make a return to Inter Milan.

Lukaku is currently struggling for form months after his much-hyped return to Stamford Bridge.

The Belgian has failed to make an impact on Thomas Tuchel's side as he has managed just five goals in 17 appearances thus far this season.
