Burnley keep their Premier League survival hopes alive on Wednesday night after they recorded a 1-0 win over Tottenham at the Turf Moor, Sky Sports reports.
Ben Mee grabbed the only goal of the encounter to take the Clarets to 20 points, just two points from safety.
Victory would have taken Tottenham to fifth position on the standings, but they fluffed the chance and Antonio Conte's men will now need to return to the drawing board.
How it happened
It was Burnley that started the game on a desperate note as they forced two consecutive corners in the fourth minute requiring Hugo Lloris to punch away.
In the 20th minute, Kulusevski found Romero of all people in the Burnley box, but the Argentine's effort rolled harmlessly wide.
And in the 33rd minute, Royal fired over for Tottenham after a counter-attack. The right wing-back cut onto his left foot but it was a terrible effort when he potentially had better options around him.
Both teams continued attacking but neither could get near to carving out a clear chance as the first half ended goalless.
And two minutes into the second half, Harry Kane hit the crossbar as his header from Son's free-kick beat Pope but came off the bar.
In the 57th minute, Ben Mee's header at the back post was easily saved by Lloris. The defender's downward header never troubled the Frenchman, but a good chance nonetheless.
