Mikel Arteta believes winning home matches will be very important and a key factor in determining teams that will finish in the English Premier League top four.

Arsenal, Manchester United, Westham, Tottenham, and Wolves are all in a neck-to-neck race to finish amongst the top four teams in England.

Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea occupy the first three positions on the league table and will most likely finish the season in that order.

According to a report on Sky Sports, Arteta while briefing the press ahead of the Gunners fixture against Wolves on Sunday, February 27 admitted it is going to be a tight race for a top-four finish till the end.

"The players know what every game means for us. We know where we are. That race is going to be right until the end.
“There are a lot of clubs involved. You see different results than expected. Points at home will be crucial."

Meanwhile, Arsenal are preparing a new bumper package for manager, Mikel Arteta which is believed to involve an £8.3m-a-year pay rise.

According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners plan to tie the Spaniard to a new three-year contract worth £25m and catapults Arteta as one of the top earners in the Premier League.

With the latest deal offered to Arteta, the 39-year-old will now be earning the same amount former Gunners manager, Arsene Wenger was receiving before he left Arsenal in 2018.
