Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo is having a better season compared to old rival, Lionel Messi, stats show.
The duo, regarded as one of the world's finest footballers both made transfer moves last summer, with Ronaldo making a stunning return to Old Trafford.
But with the two football greats in the sunset years of their careers, they have evidenced signs of rust this term, with each of them struggling to hit top form.
How Ronaldo and Messi compare this season
While Ronaldo's return to Man United has not quite worked according to plan, the Portuguese still boasts better stats than Messi who is enduring a torrid time at Paris Saint-Germain whom he joined in the summer.
According to stats compiled by The Sun, Ronaldo dominates Messi in nearly every department - with the Argentine's only better stat being passing accuracy.
Ronaldo has made 28 appearances for the Red Devils this term - managing 15 goals and three assists.
Nine of the 15 goals are in the Premier League, with the other six in different competitions including the Champions League.
On his part, Messi has played 22 times for the Parisians, notching seven goals in the process and setting up eight others.
Despite playing more minutes than Messi, Ronaldo still has a better goal ratio (153 minutes per goal) compared to Messi's 256 minutes.
