Premier League club Leicester City are desperate in keeping Nigeria’s Wilfred Ndidi for a longer time as they are prepared to tie him down with another contract.
The Super Eagles star is already in his sixth year at the King Power Stadium and has so far made 162 appearances for the Foxes in the English topflight.
His impressive form has attracted interest from several other clubs with Manchester United and Aston Villa looking at signing the 25-year-old.
Reports from Tribal Football have it that Leicester City are now preparing to offer the Nigerian a new contract.

FootballNdidi’s contract with Leicester City will lapse in the summer of 2024 as he last renewed his contract with Leicester back in August 2018 when he did not possess the reputation that he has since forged for club and country.
With Leicester already resigned to cashing in on Youri Tielemans this summer, it appears highly unlikely that they will consider any bids for Ndidi during the next transfer window.
Newcastle United are currently targeting Super Eagles left-back Zaidu Sanusi as the Premier League club aims to start rebuilding its team ahead of next season.
The Magpies are presently battling with relegation in the English top-flight but have already started preparations for the 2022/23 season.
Zaidu Sanusi presently plays for FC Porto in Portugal and has been the first choice left-back since he joined the Portuguese club three years ago.
The Super Eagles defender who still has three years on his current contract with Porto will battle for a starting shirt with current Magpies defenders Matt Ritchie, Matt Target, and Paul Dummet.

FootballSports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has stated that Napoli will continue to fight as the Serie A race continues to heat up.
The 23-year-old was on the score-sheet in Napoli’s 1-1 draw with relegation-threatened Cagliari. But a win would have seen them cruise to the top of the Serie A standing.
The Super Eagles forward who started from the bench replaced Andrea Petagna in the 67th minute later headed home his side’s equaliser.
