Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has stated that Napoli will continue to fight as the Serie A race continues to heat up, Complete Sports reports.
The 23-year-old was on the score-sheet in Napoli’s 1-1 draw with relegation threatened Cagliari. But a win would have seen them cruise to the top of the Serie A standing.
The Super Eagles forward who started from the bench replaced Andrea Petagna in the 67th minute later headed home his side’s equaliser.
Gaston Pereiro had opened the scoring for the hosts in the 58th minute, but Osimhen ensured his side shared the spoils.
Napoli remain third on the Serie A standings with 54 points and just two points behind leaders AC Milan after the draw on Monday night.
And reacting to the disappointing draw, Osimhen acknowledged that it was a disappointing outcome, but the Partenopei will not relent in their quest for the title.

Osimhen has scored seven goals in 16 Serie A games and has taken his tally to 11 in all competitions this season.

Meanwhile, Victor Osimhen can become one of the best strikers in the world if he truly plays to his potential, says Napoli coach Luciano Spalleti.
Osimhen has scored a total of six league goals for Napoli this season despite missing much of the current campaign due to injury.
The 23-year-old striker joined Napoli from French club Lille in 2019 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the top marksmen in the Italian Serie A after scoring 10 goals in his debut season.
