Premier League giants, Arsenal, have reportedly opened talks over the possibility of signing Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz in the summer.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta was desperate to add a versatile midfielder within his ranks during the January transfer window but ended up without one.
Arsenal set sights on Fabian Ruiz
The north Londoners are now understood to have set their sights on bringing Ruiz to the Emirates once the window opens.
The Mirror reports Arsenal have already held initial talks with the midfielder's representatives to discuss a possible switch to the Premier League at the end of the season.
According to the publication, Arteta is ‘a big fan’ of Ruiz and feels the midfielder would significantly improve his squad.

Ruiz, who has been an integral squad member in Napoli’s Serie A title push this term will have just a year left on his contract at the end of the ongoing campaign.
It is understood Napoli are open to selling the 25-year-old but potential suitors must meet the player's £16 million valuation fee.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will have to be wary of competition from a number of clubs in their pursuit for the services of the Napoli ace, with Man United also believed to be eyeing his services.
