Arsenal set sights on Fabian Ruiz

The north Londoners are now understood to have set their sights on bringing Ruiz to the Emirates once the window opens.

The Mirror reports Arsenal have already held initial talks with the midfielder's representatives to discuss a possible switch to the Premier League at the end of the season.

According to the publication, Arteta is ‘a big fan’ of Ruiz and feels the midfielder would significantly improve his squad.

Would Napoli sell Ruiz in the summer?

Ruiz, who has been an integral squad member in Napoli’s Serie A title push this term will have just a year left on his contract at the end of the ongoing campaign.

It is understood Napoli are open to selling the 25-year-old but potential suitors must meet the player's £16 million valuation fee.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will have to be wary of competition from a number of clubs in their pursuit for the services of the Napoli ace, with Man United also believed to be eyeing his services.

Salah tops goalscorers charts

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah is the clear favourite to win the prestigious Golden Boot award this season.

The 29-year-old has found the back of the net 17 times thus far in the league to top the goalscorers charts.

His Liverpool teammate, Diogo Jota, is his closest challenger - with the ex-Wolves star currently having 12 goals to his name.
