Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has sensationally played down speculation linking him with the Manchester United job.
United are expected to appoint a permanent manager at the end of the ongoing season to take over from Ralf Rangnick who is in charge of the club in an interim capacity.
A number of experienced managers have already been linked with the Old Trafford hot-seat, chief among the Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino and Ajax's Eric ten Hag.
Paul Scholes backs Hasenhuttl for United role
However, Southampton's Hasenhuttl has emerged as another potential candidate, with United legend Paul Scholes backing him as an ideal candidate.
Hasenhuttl's came to the fore after Southampton held the Red Devils to a frustrating 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.
The Saturday, February 13, encounter saw Jadon Sancho open the scoring for the hosts before Che Adams drew the Saints level shortly after the break.
"I think he’d be a good fit with a fresh, young, new squad," Scholes said while backing Hasenhuttl.
But would Hasenhuttl take the United job?
The Austrian tactician has now come out to declare he is not keen on the Old Trafford job, suggesting he is committed to his assignment at St. Mary's.
"This is not in my mind and also not the things that are interesting me," Hasenhuttl noted.
"I don’t want to speak about my future every week. Last week we spoke about different things, and this week we should be speaking about the game we have now against Everton," he added.
