Speculation surrounding Kylian Mbappe has taken a fresh twist as latest reports indicate Paris Saint Germain are ready to make the Frenchman the highest-paid player at the club.
Mbappe, 23, has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid with his current deal set to run out in the summer.
On Tuesday, February 15, Mbappe however cast doubt among Real Madrid fans when he suggested he had not made up his mind on his future.
His sentiments were followed by sensational reports that Liverpool had joined the race to sign him.
With so much speculation about Mbappe’s future, the 23-year old remains a Paris Saint Germain, and the French giants are reportedly ready to deal a card that would fend away all interested clubs.
According to Sunsport, PSG are prepared to tempt Mbappe to stay at Parc des Princes with a mammoth new deal that would make him the highest-paid player not only in France but in the world.
The report further claims that PSG are ready to offer Mbappe a basic wage of close to £1million a week.
Such a deal would surely outstrip anything rivals Real Madrid can offer.
Liverpool would also be unwilling to reach such astronomical amounts in wages, especially since the Reds are yet to settle their contract stalemate with their own superstar Mohammed Salah.
