William Gallas says he has been deeply impressed by the Gunners character under manager Mikel Arteta as Arsenal push to seal a top-four spot in the English Premier League.
Gallas would be considered an insider as the French defender had in his playing days captained Arsenal between 2006 and 2010.
The 44-year-old has now identified the Gunners attack as a major issue the club needs to fix after the exit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and the impending exit of Alexandre Lacazette whose contract runs out at the end of the season.
According to a report via The Sun, Gallas believes the current Arsenal team has enough quality to end the season amongst the top four teams in the Premier League.
"They've had some good results and shown great character. At the moment, Arsenal are doing quite well.
"We'll see just how good a job Mikel has done if they make Europe, and specifically the Top Four at the end of the season."
Arsenal something special insists midfielder Odegaard
Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard believes Arsenal are on track with the club’s rebuilding process as he says Mikel Arteta is building something special.
Arsenal is only four points off fourth place with three games in hand and our Norway international is confident that the squad will fulfill its potential one of which includes a top-four finish.
Odegaard speaking to Arsenal's official website says the current Gunners squad has shown they are hungry to succeed despite having a young team.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has predicted the Premier League's top four race will go down the wire.
Up to five teams including Man United and Arsenal stand a pole position of sealing the final Champions League spot.
The top three slots look all but decided, with Man City, Liverpool, and Chelsea in line to finish in first, second, and third respectively.
