Retired footballer Sergio Aguero has finally spoken on his heart condition which eventually forced him to retire from the game of football prematurely, 90min reports.

The Argentine legend has narrated how it continued to affect his daily life as he wished he could return to the game again.

Back in November 2021, Sergio Aguero was diagnosed with a heart condition, as it came barely 24 hours after he was forced off during the 1-1 draw against Alaves.

The ex-Manchester City star was making his first start for Barcelona at the Nou Camp, but had to go off after 41 minutes as he cited discomfort on his chest.

In worrying scenes, the Argentine was seen holding his chest before going down on the pitch but was able to walk away from the action.

Barcelona would go on to disclose that their summer signing had undergone cardiac examination after the discomfort on the pitch and was later diagnosed with "cardiac arrhythmia".

On December 15, Sergio Aguero announced his retirement from football in a tearful press conference.

Despite his unprecedented retirement, there is no doubt that Aguero will go down in history as one of the most formidable strikers of his time.
